EvolveYou: a fitness app that outgrew its plumbing

A fast-growing fitness app, four back-ends, three sign-in flows and a scaling bill heading the wrong way. We gave it one architecture.

The problem

EvolveYou's trainer-led workout app had grown faster than its infrastructure: APIs scattered across Elastic Beanstalk, a Postgres model straining under content reads, and authentication duplicated across every supporting site.

What we built

A coherent serverless platform: APIs restructured onto Fargate, a single-table DynamoDB content model served over GraphQL, and one SSO service (Next.js on Cognito) signing members into the app, the APIs, the shop and the account services alike.

The quiet win

An inherited React front-end untangled from the backend it had grown into, with logic moved back behind the APIs where it belongs. Less glamour, more velocity: every later feature shipped faster because of it.
